Dupage River - 8/12

I went out to the Dupage River to try my luck at some smallmouth bass arount 7pm. In the first 5 casts I caught one 9 inch smallmouth that put up a pretty good fight. While I was reeling him in another larger smallmouth was following him trying to get at the spinnerbait I hooked him on. I had never fished this section of the Dupage, but it was pretty clear. The water level was very low and the bottom was rocky.

I was going to stay longer, but the mosquitoes were relentless. Put on a half a can of OFF and they still kept coming.

Thanks for the report! I am going to get out there tomorrow morning and see what I can do. I barely ever fish rivers so it will be a new experience for both my buddy and I.
