Dupage River - 8/12
I went out to the Dupage River to try my luck at some smallmouth bass arount 7pm. In the first 5 casts I caught one 9 inch smallmouth that put up a pretty good fight. While I was reeling him in another larger smallmouth was following him trying to get at the spinnerbait I hooked him on. I had never fished this section of the Dupage, but it was pretty clear. The water level was very low and the bottom was rocky.
I was going to stay longer, but the mosquitoes were relentless. Put on a half a can of OFF and they still kept coming.
Even if you've been fishing for three hours and haven't gotten anything except poison ivy and sunburn, you're still better off than the worm. ~Author Unknown
