Default Rock Creek Water Level

Anybody been to Rock Creek lately? The last time I was down there about 3 weeks ago it was flooded and looked like chocolate milk. I was thinking about heading down tomorrow and wanted a heads up.

Hey, thanks for the info! I actually ended up being rained out last week so I couldn't go. Any idea on water levels right now? Want to see this place when it's not flooded!

**The Peotone and Manteno area recieved 2" of rain Monday and Rock Creek is pure mud.I try and stay away from the State Park because of too many anglers.
**The weedbeds below and along I-55 have been good.

**241 is the exit off I-55 east to Wilmington. If you are coming from New Lenox it would be easier to take 45 to Manteno Rd west to Deselm south to 102 West to the park.
**I use nightcrawlers on a simple rig of a 1/8-1/4oz jighead and a float.
**The islands above and below I-55,the rapids and near the train tressle, once the water comes down is always good for some action.

Rock Creek is worthless right now, all the smallies move out into the main river this time of year!
