Default KKK on 10-18

Got to the Wilmington Dam around 7:30 and was throwing shad raps, tail dancers and jig/minnows and caught several carp. They have been hitting crank baits every time I go. Not what I was looking for but I got a decent fight anyways. After a few hours, I went to Davis Creek and got 2 smallies on a shad rap. Not a very productive day but I had fun. I will be back later this week and hopefully will do better. The river is in good shape for wading and not many fisherman, even on a sunny Saturday. I think a lot of the fisherman have traded in their rods for guns.

Thanks for the tip I will be at the dam tomorrow, hopefully. I guess you have to be at the dam at the right time to get walleye. The trout are in the Isaac Walton lake in Homewood and I got a 13 incher today on a crawler. I actually seen the stocking on Friday and there were some over 20". For anyone who wants to join it is now about 12.50$ or maybe half of that to join and it is just west of Halsted ave. on Ridge Rd. It is an excellent bass and catfish fishery, I got 4 LM bass over 16" the last two days on a Rapala Shad Rap RS. All LM bass is catch and release only so there is a ton of them in there, they stock 14" bass every year.

P.S. I did not want to stray away from the Kank but this is my favorite forum so I figured I would let you guys know about some good trout fishing in the south suburbs since the DNR didn't stock trout in southern Cook County.

I used to join Isaac Walton but I haven't the last few years. They used to stock it with hybrid bluegills as big as frisbees. I also caught a small pike years ago. I know the bass fishing is good as well. I work in Glenwood which is next to Homewood so maybe I will join. As far as the dam goes, the walleye are there, you just have to figure out what they will hit. Crank baits worked for me last week but not this time. I will be back on Wed or thurs to give it another shot.

Didn't get to the dam today so decided to go for those stocked trout got my limit of two today and they are very acrobatic which is why I love fishing for them. They do put up a good fight on ultra light gear and with crawlers I outfished the guys using spinners and power bait who mostly came up empty.
