fished below bridge from 7 until 10:30. Was catching about 4/hr until 9:30 when it slowed down, got hot too! Anyway caught almost all 10 smallmouth on artifical crawfish. All were around 10 inches with biggest 13. Caught one that had hook and line coming out of mouth, cut line so only hook remained. Tried grubs and Charlie brewer slider with power leech with no luck.

irjones,
Glad to hear you had success. Just a note, that we can all discuss now, is clipping line. Clipping the line at the eye on a gut hooked fish used to be the norm, and reccmended. However it seems that in the past few years, several articles have come out based on new research that shows leaving a litte line out of the mouth is better. I believe leaving line is supposed ot allow the hook to lay flat, that way the fish can still eat, etc. without the hook blocking the passage way. Anyone have any comments on how well this has worked for you?? Just curious, and hope we can share a little knowledge on a subject I am sure we all care about.
