Default K3 2/26/12

HIt the good ol' K3 today. I heard the walleye bite was on, but once again, not for me. I hit the Davis Creek and Smith Islands area. Threw cranks and minnow baits without a hit. Nice day, had a good time, but some fish action would have been nice. I did manage to fine tune my home made crankbaits and test them out again, they swam just fine.

Hmmm, dunno. River is kinda low, if you really know that river that may be one thing, but if you're unfamiliar with that shallow, rocky river, your prop could be a gonner.

While the K3 has major problems with sand from Indiana all the way down to KKK it is a shallow river flowing at about 4 MPH. Just can not row or paddlle against that to get back to the launch area.

Also you never know where mother nature decided to deposit a sunken tree or other junk.

The rest of the river has a ROCK bottom that gets moved almost every year during ice out.

Try asking CREEKYKNEES for the latest safest areas. He is on the K3 almost every day.
