Got out again today and action was little slower for me but still a good day. The usual spot I go to was slow in the morning. We picked up 4 smallies in 2 hours. @ on Flukes, 2 on crawlers. We went to the Wimington Dam and the algae and moss was so thick we could only throw weedless lures-no cranks. We picked up several small smallies and headed back to where we started. The action picked up with lots of smallies and cats. Most of the smallies were average with a few nicer ones. My friend landed a cat that weighed close to 10 lbs. The other cats were all about 1 pound. We caught fish on Flukes, 4 inch rubber worms on Keeper hooks, jig/twisters and crawlers. No walleye yet.
As a bonus, a bald eagle flew over us several times. First one I have seen on the river.
