Default KANKAKEE RIVER TRIP

We are heading down to the Kankakee St Park area this weekend. Any advice on areas to fish from the bank would be appreciated. We are strictly C-P-R folks - we don't put 'em in a bucket and take them home. ( Psst - I hate fish )

We have to fish from the shore - I have river fished most of my life - just need a few pointers for the area

Thanks
Mike

I've never fished the Kankakee, but if you've fished rivers, I'd look for the same stuff, eddies, current breaks, fallen timber, etc. I imagine if you find those, you'll find some fish. Good Luck. Mops

The smallies have been in current seems or behind big rocks for me on soft plastic craws. Green n red and black n blue. A shakey head worm in black too. U can try some of the bluff walls too in the state park with same baits.
Tight lines!
