Default Between Showers

The 3rd or 4th or.... shower of the day had just stopped when I hooked this beauty pictured below. I was working a small riffle near water willows adjacent to a flat in Wilmington. Looked up and saw a torpedo charge from the riffle and chase a baitfish into the willows. Next cast with a Pop R on the flat and she ate it. Only one other dink, but a 2.5 lb? on topwater in the current-PRICELESS! Oh-and as a sidenote, I was premature in my praise of the Pflueger President spinning reel. Getting a lot of loop snarls now. Lost yards of line today. Was throwing a Mepps for a while, and the Paddle Shad also creates line twist.

If You use in-line spinners only braid line will work.

Try a swivle with about 12 inch floro leader helps some. Ive found stretchn my mono b4 goin out helps too. If all else fails try a shimano curado! Best reel ive ever found! Baitcastr but with some time it can be an awesome all around reel! Its all i throw. Tight lines!

If your inline spinner is twisting your line, there is something wrong with your spinner. The blade is supposed to spin, not the lure.

^ That goes for pretty much all lures. If the lure is spinning there's something wonky...
