Default Kankakee

nice smallie on a rebel pop-r this morning. river is dropping fast and clearing, caught off a rock point in about 6" of water, seen him chasing minnows so took adavantage.

Very nice. Moss and grass is getting worse, but not like in past years. Lots of people out though.

Good to see. Haven't seen much shad activity yet but plenty of seagulls. Met up with stonecat mid morning and fished middle park, we got a couple on jerkbaits and a few on plastics. Topwater bite for me has been slow but fish have been nice.

Yesterday was youth waterfowl. Thats why I did not know. Any thing at the quarry?

Got around 50 but very small. Most were 7"-10", had two bass swipe at a trout right next to the dropoff.
