Pool 13 5/21 - 6/2
Just spent two weeks there.
River is high, muddy. Boat ramps docks are being damaged by floating debri (like 30-40 foot trees and a lot of other stuff). Boat ramp conditions are changing both to the good and bad on a daily bases. Fishing is spotty. Caught some eyes where you can find some clearer water. White bass are itching to run, just waiting on a little warmer temps (59-63 right now with some backwater bays warming up to the low 70s if the sun stays out) and lower water conditions. Right now it is hit and miss. Cats are holding to the banks. Bass and gills are scattered. Crappies where??? Lot of flooded land and fish are up in it. Structure is constantly changing. Beaver areas are right now the best bet. Current is swift and there is a lot of debri on the water so watch where you are going. Some logs/trees are just underneath so move cautiously and expect a few "bumps". You will see some of the trees and associatied landscape along with it floating down river. Wind has been another factor. Hopefully it will change soon.
