Fishing on the Mississippi was been pretty tough so far this spring for my boat. We are getting some walleyes from the Red Wing area, but with the cold weather the upper midwest has received the water temps have plummeted.
best presentation has been to slooowlllyy drag upstream at 0.1 to 0.3 mph. Ringworms on jigs have been better than minnows surprisingly. Even the trailer hook on leader of the Dubuque rig has been a no sale on the walleyes and saugers.
Looking for good thing to come as the weather warms.
