Default 3 musky day on shabbona in may

here are some pictures i wanted to share with you of my friend and nieghbor who also musky fishes. he had an incredible day on shabbona in may and caught three muskies 40,41 and 44 inches while fishing with two other friends. believe it or not the other two guys did not switch to same lure till after he caught the third fish and he was the guy in the back of the boat. some days they like firetiger minnow baits. i meant to post these sooner but i am just learning how. they mentioned him in sun-times dale bowmans report.

there is alot to be said for going to prime musky lakes at the right time during lunar cycle and weather conditions. doing a little research of topo maps and past history of the lake your targeting. if you can only get out there a limited amount of time, plan on being there when your odds are increased. my best days on shabbona have been during these periods and it effects all wildlife. you will notice the deer on the move along with birds etc. that lake gets windy at times and if you hide from the wind you are away from the most active fish. boat control can be difficult but find and fish the structure thats on your graph not the visible points and stuff that everyone out there beats to death.
