Real nice fish ! Was there also tuesday, but did not have same results. Was shore fishing, and didnt get around 1st bend, stayed around markers 60-70. Something told me to get around corner , but time was limited. I was trying for hybrids, with livers and shrimp, but got nothing but cats. Was thinking they should have still been on that shore, now I see a further walk may have been worthwhile. WTG on nice catch,, I'd recommend baked on grill with slivered garlic, red bell peppers and sweet onion topped with seasoned bread crumbs MMMMMM Thanks for report, Good fishin............

How are they eatin? Do you eat the entire fillet even the red looking meat. I brought only a couple home a few weeks ago and they weren't bad I was just unsure if I could eat the red meat.

I filet them, bread them and fry them in olive oil. The large filets I either cut into more manageable sizes or finger sizes. The red is no problem.

The red line running the length of a fillet is the lateral line of the fish. This is just a bundle of nerves that help a fish detect vibration. I have noticed that white bass fillets from the Wolf River with the lateral lines removed have less of a strong fishy taste. Think about it this way: would you rather eat a nice hunk of fillet mignon or a bowl of cow nerves?

Hey Nitro glad to see you have such good things to say for 2 posts. Oh ya all those stripers I saw dead 2 summers ago because of the heat-whats your response to that ?? So the guy actually kept some fish by the regs.
