Default Heidecke

Just got back from Heidecke and the shad were floating on the surface. Water level was up and water temperature was 77 degrees. Might as well wait untill September befor heading back out there.

Floating on the surface as in dead and floating? Or just that thick?

Did you try to fish at all?

Thanks for the report.

How many boats out there today? I was set to go early this afternoon, but had a change of plans.

You mention the water is up, how much clearance at the bridge?

As an aside, I am surprised how few posts there are about Heidecke. I will change that after I finally get my ass out there again.

Heid gets tough after mid-late June. Fishing slows dramatically after the shad hatches and not many people venture out there during the summer.

A deep v with a full windshield may have trouble getting under the bridge, but most boats should still be ok.
