Default MUSKIE MUSKIE MUSKIE w/ pics

Went out today with a friend to chase those ski's. He was getting a bit pissed that we were not havin any luck, so he stopped fishing for skis and went for bass. He tied up a plastic worm and started fishin for bass. I was stayin true and sticking with the muskies. I went with a 1 3/4 oz jig head and a white reaper tail combo. Brandon was telling me that a while ago he saw a muskie under this fallen tree. Just as he finished telling me that story he tells me FISH ON! We both are thinking that this was a big LMB. nope! This bass-tard just caught a 37" 12lb 11oz muskie off of a gary yamamoto (sp?) plastic worm. Needless to say I was a bit frustrated, but atleast we got a fish in the boat. All and all we had a great day. Back out on Thursday. Now here are the pics :

Downsizing baits for Muskies is a great tactic when fishing gets tough. I have caught Muskies this year on Senko's, X-Raps, Rattle Traps, and Shad Raps. Coincidence? Nope, just good tactics. Great catch! What lake was it?

Thanks!

Stalker: Im not sure what lake that could be called, we were in a channel between channel and marie maybe? We were right under 173 near bob's marina. If that makes any sense.

Nice Musky! Good job.
It is strange that you can get big Musky on some smaller baits and I've also gotten bass and walleye on huge Musky baits that I couldn't believe they went after.

Great Fish Guys!! I would agree with the theory that bigger baits are better in the fall but sometimes they will do nothing but turn off fish. I've got some nice size 'eyes on some pretty small presentations.

Looks like the muskie guys will be tossing some bass baits this weekend.
