Anybody been cathing walleyes lately. Was trying to decide where to fish,illinois river or the chain. I realy dont want to take the 98 mile ride to the illinois river. Any reports will be very helpful. Thanks for any info provided.

Walleye on the chain have been spotty for the past couple of weeks with fish turning on and off quickly. Most caught have been small but there have been a few in the 17 -18 inch range. White Bass were commiting suicide on the river a few weeks ago but have since slowed down.

Crappie have been active with some nice 12's and 13's possible. ;)

Where can a launch that is deep enough to get a deep V boat in? I know the lake is low so I want to be safe. Thanks.

Plenty of places to launch Brian, what lakes do you want to fish???

Mostly south.

Pistakee lake has launches at Oak Park Hotel, Watts Marina, and Bauske's Marine.

Fox Lake has launches at Captains Quarters, Fairmont Shore's, and Electric Harbor.

I'm sure theres more but these come to mind. :)2
