Default Grass Lake

Does anybody bass fish in Grass Lake? I never really hear about anyone fishing for bass here but it seems like it would be good early in the year. You would think that it would heat up quick and attract some fish. We are heading out Friday for the high school bass sectional and I was wondering if it would be worth a try. Please let me know if you have any opinions.
Thanks

Default Grass Lake

Be careful, they call it Grass Lake for a good reason . Lake is very shallow with lots of weeds. Should warm up quick in the spring and the weeds shouldn't be too bad yet. Might be a good place to try.

Stay away from Grass Lake. You're better off staying in the channels, north bays on Marie, Channel Lakes.. JMHO

Grass is a pass through lake. All species travel through to the river and channels, follow current areas.. You will do good in the Channel to Marie, around the Grass lake bridge and adjacent channels. Shallow cranks, spinnerbaits, and jigs would be my bet, use heavier line, like 12#-20# for the inevitable Muskie.

Grass is super shallow, but who knows. I've caught bass in the channels around there, so there may be bass in the lake. Please post how you do/did.
