Hit the lower Fox River South of Pistakee around 3pm. Tried a channel off the river with nothing to show so headed towards Pistakee and worked some channels. Ran into hundreds of decent sized bluegills and tons of some kind of fry. Landed 1 bass on a 3" Gulp minnow on a 1/2 jig head. Had a nice bloody fin. Tried some backwater open areas and coves but only saw fish in the narrow, shallow channels. Threw in-line spinner, chatter bait, red eye shad but seemed like the slower the presentation the better. Water temp on river and lakes were 49-50 and highest I found in channels were 54. Water is low, low, low. Most boats aint gonna get through some of these channels so don't even try. Tight lines!
