Put in on the Fox River below the McHenry Dam around 3-4pm. Headed towards the dam and caught a nice pig white bass on my second cast using a 3" Gulp minnow. Should have quit while I was ahead. Work a bunch of channels and other than seeing a million carp nada. Worked swim baits, jigs, chatter baits, Gulp, in line spinners. I remember now how fickle the Chain and Fox are. Water today low 60's on the river and 64-67 in the channels. Can't understand while they wouldn't bite or why they weren't in the channels. Live bait guys on shore and other boater said the same. Tight lines.
