Default Flippin lakes?

Any of the lakes have any good structure for flippin?

Tried out carp/gar yesterday with a buddy for the first time in the mazonia lakes and it wasnt bad. only picked up 3 bass. Water seemed a tad high so we where flippin grass and some of the brush in the water. picked up 1 flippin other 2 on swimbaits throwin in the ridiculously crazy amount of balls of bait fish all over these 2 lakes.

We like to do flipping and punching alot, so trying to see if any of these lakes offer good structure for said style.

Thanks yal!

If you're looking to flip and punch get an Indiana license and check out the slough. You can flip reeds, channels, sticks, milfoil and lilly pads til you're sick of it. It's large and very shallow, weeds can be very thick in places and a push pole can be helpful. Strong population of 13"-17" bass with larger fish present. Closes sometime in fall for waterfowl hunting.

Yeah, crazy amount of Shad in Lakes connected to Mazon River (Carp/Gar, Bass, Outhouse (Bullhead); not connected to Mazon but has plenty of Shad). Yes, flipping, pitching, punching always an option. Often strip pits can have 3 to 8 fow right at the base of the reeds. Not much offshore structure so they're tight year around. An overlooked factor is the severity of the previous winter. If there's lots of snow and wind it will knock the reeds down along the shorelines. This creates a canopy of reed stalks and trash that the bass love. Good luck.
