I'm at SIU right now and love it. SIU has a great business school, as well as the best fishing out of any of the other schools by far. The country down here is nice too, and you are right in a "city" setting with carbondale. I've been catching nice crappie since I've been back from break in our campus lake as well as some other ponds and Crab. Everyone thinks southern is a huge party school, but so is any other state school. I love it down here. A lot of the student body is from Chicago as well, so it is very easy to find a ride home. Hey you other SIU guys...check out the bass fishing club. I am vice president if you want information. My email is [email protected]
. We have paper tourneys on campus lake (great lake for bass and crappie as you should well know) as well as tourneys on many of the lakes around here. A lot of the guys in the club have boats, so we normally have plenty of boats to go around. I have visited all the other state schools, and SIU definitely has the nicest campus and dorms. Maybe I'm biased because I go here, but I really didn't like the other state schools, except for ISU. I liked it there, except for the fact that like you said there aren't very many easy fishing opportunities. Oh well, too much for now.
