I just read on larrys fishing hole report and it said that most of the ice on evergreen was gone. Can anyone confirm this? or even have a lake temp would be great.

Heard anything? Ive asked sis to drive by there on her way to work and see whats up. Most ponds from Ottawa to Bolingbrook have a least half open water.
Blu, you been to the other side of 39 lately?

I just drove past Evergreen. The water is open but high. I didnt get out to check the clarity of the water, but if its high, I can imagine its muddy.

Are they doing something different down there? Sure it always got muddy after heavy rains, but it seems that reports from the past 4 months are always saying Chocolate syrup. One would or me at least would think aftr freeze up it would have cleared up for a spell?? Too thick/heavy for my brain to deal with.

My theory.

The activated sludge from city treatment plants that farmers spread on fields that gets in lake after rains (last 2 years) combined with the 2 heavy rains back to back in January is keeping the mud in suspension. This was the red stuff last year that stunk inside your shanty. If you think evergreen is bad Bloomington was a lot worse.

I have my back up plans in place. The Blu Vue will probably be scarce there most of spring. (if it ever gets here)

While sludge getting into lake is not what I like to hear, your theory sure makes alot of sense. Thanks Blu
