you can put a boat in bloomington now. rumor is level going down about 7 feet more so you better hurry. evergreen had open water
sat. at white oak. no fish either place were biting.

If you wait 2 weeks you will be able to walk most of the shoreline at Lake BLM. And be carefull at the ramp if you put in a boat.

Two weeks later....

How has fishing been on either lake?

Planning on being down Wed. afternoon. Will have a few hours to shore fish. Any current info?

Will use minnows, crawlers and mini-craws unless someone has a better idea?

Thanks in advance.

Jim

Well I don't have any update on Lake Bloomington, (maybe blufloyd can help) but I was at Evergreen today. Temp at the launch was 48. Water around the south end of the lake is sort of murky. Only got one decent size crappie while trolling for saugeye. Otherwise things are still slow. Have heard a few reports of people getting a few crappie deeper over timber. Just need to some decent weather to boost the water temps a little more.

reelman2,

Thanks for the info, will try the best I can depending on the conditions, will probably hit cover on the windward side, especially with a south wind to get those warmer temps.

blufloyd,

"dog with his leg up" Hope you get the meds right next time LOL.

Have you been to either one recently? Any happenings?

Thanks again, guys.

Zonker,
While you are down there Wed, you might want to stop in the park office at Evergreen and see if you can get them to give up some info. (can also get a nice map of the lake) The DNR was out there one day last week doing some sampling and I guess they got a good number of saugeye and musky. 2 of the saugeye if caught by a fisherman would beat the current state record. The biggest was just over 11 pounds!!! Doubt they will tell you exactly WHERE they netted them, but might give you a general idea.
