So I haven't been out fishing in a while cause my wife and I just had our first son a couple weeks ago and that has kept me pretty busy, and at home. However, I made it out to the DuPage River today. I was over at Hammel Woods Forest Preserve Just off of I-55. So I fished for a couple hours and had no luck. The water was pretty high, fast, murky and I got rained on pretty good. None the less I figured who knows when I'll get back out, so I stayed a bit longer. I ended up hooking into a couple of nice smallies!!! I had my camera, I went to take a picture and it turns out I left the memory card in my computer!!!!! So No pictures. Not too happy about that. But I can tell ya about them. They weren't huge, only about 13 to 14 inches. Both good fighters. and I got them both on wooly buggers. They both hit pretty close to shore. All in all, I'm happy that I got any today under the conditions. And all the bait fisherman around look like they got skunked.
I'll fish anywhere there's water
