I don't know if there are or not, but it wouldn't surprise me. They will continue expanding upstream in the Mississippi River basin until they hit a dam that they can't get past. They are in large numbers in the Illinois river up to the Starved Rock dam and are slowing getting through the lock. If they aren't in the Rock river, they will be sooner or later unless there is an impassable dam blocking their way.

At Hunting and fishing days, they set up the Hawg Trough and filled it with fish from Ottawa, upstream of starved rock dam. I was really surprised to see how many silvers they had in the tank. Many silvers are now upstream of the dam. It wont be long before they are thick in the 3k river and Desplaines.

Ejoe, were there bigheads in there as well?
If not, I wonder what gives the silvers an edge over the bigheads in navigating upstream through the locks.

What else did they pull out of the Marseilles pool?

No bigheads....just silvers. It does seem the silvers appear first then the bigheads. Had a talk with a fisheries guy today and he said they are spawning togeather making a silver/bighead hybrid. Had some nice walleye and bass in there too. Grass carp and some buffalo. Some real big flatheads. They also got some fish from the fox right by the plano bridge. the musky were real nice.
