Bowfishing Association of Illinois Silver Carp Roundup
The Bowfishing Association of Illinois will be holding a shoot on the Illinois river at Henry Illinois on July 23rd. It will start actually Fri night at dusk and go till Sat. the 23rd noon. The shoot will cover the waters from Henry to the Starve rock dam.....home to thousands of silver carp. The town of Henry will be having a pig roast for the attendees, and have changed the local rules so people can camp right on the river by the marina. This will be a numbers shoot, as we try to reduce these flying fish. Ice will be provided so people can ice their fish down to keep fresh, as these fish are very good to eat. The event will be advertised to local people who might want to come over after the shoot is done and get some good fish to take home.
All are invited. If you dont have a boat, someone will get you on the water to try bowfishing, and "trap shoot" bowfishing for these flying fish.
Send me a PM if interested.....directions and more info on the way.
