Sounds like solid advise to me that Pro is suggesting above
I've had some pretty good success around and South of the McCormick Center too.
There are some mid to large rock piles, summer weed growth that hold good size fish. Drag a tube or work a jig as low to and on the bottom. Try casting it as far out as you can, pausing it and dragging it at different speed retrieves.
If you get hung up try not tighten your line, rather give it slack by lowering your rod tip then lift rod tip up while reeling a little line then go back to dragging the bottom until you feel the thump
Walk, casting that shore methodically South all the way down to 31st harbor and then go ahead and fish around new harbor and south of that too.
Most of all enjoy the scenery lots bikers, walkers and joggers around there yet not overwhelming like other harbors.
Good luck and have fun fishing it.
