Default Willow Slough 04/01/2017

Finally able to make a trip to the Slough Saturday morning. Fished 7am to Noon.

Caught 10 total - early morning chatterbaits along reed edges in channel. Bite was on the sunny side. All between 16-17 inches and chunks !

Late morning switched to punching thru thick reed mats. Biggest of day doing this at 18-1/2"

Didn't have my scale with me to weigh any.

Talking with the gill fisherman... Most said pretty slow action on Saturday. Earlier in the week was crazy good till the storm and front came thru Friday.

The bite has been good over there, nice average size also. Heading that way right now.

Not as good as you but I don't set the hook in reeds and pads and then say I had one....

Water level was not affected by the previous rains, it is a little lower than it was at this time last year.
