I & M - World Palindrome Day - 3 stars
 

Would have been 4 stars but the fish were all on the small side. Ice looked a tad iffy on the quarries but no matter as PalosBob and I brought out open water poles with us and fished the I & M. Some section of the I & M were still iced over but mostly it was open water. Fish cooperated with gills being the dominant fish of course. I think Palos tried 5 different spots and caught at least 1 fish each spot. Palos caught gills and one crappie where I caught gills along with 1 crappie, 1 largemouth, 1 warmouth (hybrid?) and 2 golden shiners. I even had a grasshopper hop on to the blue-board to get in on some photo action LOL All fish (and grasshopper) released.


We both had an ice jig tipped with a wax worm although my lone crappie came when I was using a small piece of power bait earthworm.
