Default Sep 8 Geneva Report

I hit the dam around 4pm and caught 2 Quill Back? I think thats what they call them. Anyways the water was real REAL low. Which leads me to ask a question..

Is it easier to catch fish when the water is low? I mean you would think the holes are pretty simple to find and the fish are stacked in them. But from what I see on this board people seem to think fishing is better when the water is up.

Which is true??

I definatly think the river is better when it is high. I have more confidence when its high also. You also have more structure to fish, ie: trees, log jams, drop offs, etc... not just holes, which don't always have the species you are looking for.

There's actually times when I like when it is lower so I can have more control over whatever bait I'm working. However, having been out a few times lately, this is definetely too low and we could use some rain.
