Default Florida Bass Jan-Feb - Guides??

Can anyone suggest a good guide on the Kissimmee chain, Toho, or Stick Marsh? I'd like to take a trip or two this winter.

Thanks,
Rainman

Default Florida Bass Jan-Feb - Guides??

I'm not real particular about the lake, though the Orlando area is the area I'd planned on visiting. As long as the guide is good and I'm not fishing with a Zebco 33 (I don't plan on bringing my own equipment) and I've got a legit shot at some quality fish. I dont expect to catch a 10lb piggy, but I'd like to see a couple 5's.

Thanks,
Rainman

Rainman.
Check out hpfishcamp.com They guide on the St. Johns River. I've gone out with them several times and we always catch a few bass, including an eight lb largemouth. If you've never fished Florida before, get ready, you will have the trip of a lifetime. The fish are huge and agressive, and the scenery is great. Watch out for gators!

Rainman I'll be in the Orlando area the 15th thru the 21st. of Jan. I'll only get 2 days off, not sure witch days, most likely the 19th & 20th.
The last time I went to disney I got a guide out of a local phone book. I'm not a big bass fisherman, so he took me to Kennedy space center, at least I could se it, and fished for snook in the cannels , there was a slot size on them , so I caught every thing above and below the limit. But the Gills I mean [brim] where great. Used his ultra lite and caught [brim] close to 1 1/2 lb.
Don't get me wrong the snook were great fighters, just the numbers of [brim] that size were unbeleiveable

well, let me know when or where. I have a friend down here that knows that area well and I am sure he could recommend a good bass guide for the kissimee chain.

Good fishing there, Lake Toho is good.

Since I have moved down here, I have not fished for bass. Snook and redfish have been the targets. In january it will be cold and the bass will be lethargic. The water temps will drop into the 50s, so it will be slow. Saltwater you cannot go wrong!
