Default Happy recovery, Howard the Duck.

Glad the surgery went well. Get well soon. No wait, get well enough to fish soon. Cane poles in the boat at Big E next week?

Same from me, Howard,

There's a bunch of fish swimmin' around with your name on 'em, wondering when you are gonna collect 'em

Have a quick, successful recovery

Thanks guys.

nothing to serious. basically carpal tunnel surgery on left arm. pretty sore and swollen today but doing well. just not going to be fishing for a while and the puter typing is real slow with only one hand.

will be back to normal in a month or so i hope. have a plaster splint and elastic wrap on for next two weeks. when that and stitches are removed, it is physical therapy time. will work hard to get back to normal so i can return to work and start fishing too. till then it is back to the ole cane pole for them lil swimmers. NOTHING can keep me from fishing all together. might be awkward at first but i bet i will manage to figure a way to GIT R DONE.

Again, thx 4 the well wishes guys. htd

I saw an episode of Hank Parker Outdoors where he is fishing with a fella with no legs and only half of one arm... This guy could cast and retrieve a buzzbait(and any other lure) using a baitcaster...Not some modified handicap rig, but an out of the box rod and reel... It was amazing... No legs... No hands or fingers... And this guy was catching LMB's like a pro... I may complain about my 6 knee surgeries, but I won't let them prevent me from doing something I want to do ever again..

ja-knee-sea,

I saw that episode, too.

Talk about triumph over adversity

Funny thing was, he didn't think it was special, just what he needed to do to go fishin'.

my last outing wasn't pretty, that's for sure. BUT i was fishin' and that's all i cared about.

style and appearance was a big 0 but effort was a 10.

i don't reccomend to anyone to fish 1 1/2 days after having hand/arm surgery............unless they are nuts like me. lol. my doctor was not to happy to hear i went. guess that is why i pay him and not the other way around. HtD

Doing my best to double up on the fishing so demand doesn't drop and sport gets outsourced to one of those ... ( I edited that out do to racial overtones and one of my angry white man moments ). Headed to Spring then loop back to Eureka. I feel crappy but crappie may be cure or cat scratch fever. Off to see the birdies of the Illinois river valley too.
