Fished from 5 am until 9 am Sat, lousy East wind. Some guys at the far light hitting intermittent jumbos on fatheads especially, bottom rigs, but nothing spectacular in terms of guys limiting out. Water seems even lower than visit three weeks ago, so clear you could see schools of uninterested perch and loads of alewise and every inch of the bottom. Guy next to me got a jumbo, huge, and a 4 inch alewise pops out of its mouth. Killed some gobies at least, seagulls like 'em too. May have improved later in the day as the wind changed. Huge almost wadable sandpile directly across from the tip as you walk out, sloping down to a shallow pool in the center of the shoe.
To be specific, I was out on the Shoe around the tip and outside, also on the inside from the tip to the light. I caught one small throwback perch and lost a jumbo on a perch pole w/ small shiners, and caught 5 or 6 gobies on a small rat finkie jig w/ spikes, in about 4 hours. And I have new fry batter too, ****!
