I would think if it is indeed a new world record it would mean the states DNR was involved to verify the species, weight, ect....
When that happens it isn't up to the person who caught it to spill the beans, they certainly would.
That kind of news travels fast and I would think it would have been read by someone around here already, not on CLF but like like I said, that kind of news travels very fast.
