Dave you are wayyy off, there were actually 81

The down side is that we only caught two fish but once you attend one of these outings, you'll see that there is more of a social aspect to it. I know some guys who cast about a dozen times all night, but spent a lot of time by the grill chewing the fat. You ought to see some of the "rigs" guys bring with all the fishing and party gear all loaded up. Speaking of loaded.....there is alos just a little bit of drinking that goes on too. Nothing out of hand, but very similar to a tailgate party. Food! Don't forget the food. Last year I saw brats, burgers, dogs, ribs, steaks etc. all on grills and people are kind enough to share. You won't go away hungry!

There is always plenty of grill space! Guys are much more willing to share some open grill space than a brat they brought and paid for (but it still happens, you just have to be a good mooch like me ).
Oh, and one more thing I forgot, if you're cigar smoker, this event looks like a meeting of Cigar Afficianado's local chapter! Smoke 'em if 'ya got 'em!

Sounds like a blast, more eating than fishing or vice versa, either way I'm in, sept 17th is my bday and I cant think of a finer way of spending it than possibly catching a king, and cooking it up immediately. Nothing better than fresh fish.

Hey Kevin... To answer your first question on the other post, If you hook the fish but your dad reels it in, you should get the credit for it(assuming your injury is the cause)... Make sure you help him net the big guy...
Question 2. There are alot of Hotels near Great America/Gurnee... I'm not sure I'd look for one any closer in than that due to Waukegan being a fairly rough town... Send a PM to Fishhog(Lori and Augie at The Salmon Stop)... They may be able to recommend a safe haven for you...Make sure you stop in there for supplies too!!! It's on your way to the pier...
