March 31st is the cutoff. You can buy and print out multiple copies of your 2006 license online now if you want to get ahead of the game.

all the places that sell licenses have brand new computers so if you lose your license they can just print you a new one.

I would start looking to get a new one now. The way Bloggy is running things it will take a while to get one. State boat stickers are running 6 months to get now. And if you need an FOID good luck.

Just so you guys know, if you do loose your new license that is purchased with the new ILDNR system, there is a replacement charge for each item you lost. It's $3.00 per license and each stamp.
We have our system up and running!

Lori-
I already got a license for this year. What would be the cost if I upgrade and get the salmon stamp? Is it just the stamp price, and they print out the new license for free?

haven't bought this year's license yet, but it used to be when you bought the salmon stamp after the fact off the internet it just printed you a stamp (regular piece of paper in this care) from your home computer. it's not as convenient as an actual stamp but it's legal!

Jaxon,
When you buy the stamp on line, it will be the same type of paper the lic is, but it will only say it's for the salmon stamp.

When it comes to 2006 license don't go by "what it was or used to be" as for 2006 state has gone to a whole new thing or set up????? If some place does not have a machine yet don't wait on them as state is running 1 to 2 months behind on training once folks get machine...............
