Default new to the area

I recently moved up here (Gurnee-Waukegan Area) from Waterloo, Iowa and would like to know where I could hook up with some walleye or smallie action around the gurnee-waukegan area. I do not have a boat so it would have to be from the banks. I know the fox river is up around here somewhere, whats the closests spot to fish the fox from gurnee? Any other ideas would be much appreciated!!! Have hooked up with one KING on LM , but miss walleye fishin!

to CLF Iowa_boy.

The Mchenry Dam just south of the town of Mchenry has good shore fishing. There is also good shore fishing just west of Antioch on rt 173 at Oak Point State park.

If you want to head a bit northeast, you can fish the Desplaines river or Sterling lake which is located just west of rt 41 on rt 173.

You can search this site or google these names and you'll get plenty of information.
