Default Goose Huntin 12/10/06

Last Sept. at the hunting and Fishing Days Show in Yorkville, Spinnerman and I were winning bidders on a goose hunt for 2 that Jeff Norris of Fox Valley Guide Service donated to the shows silent auction. Went on it today and had a blast! I can see how waterfowl hunting can become a habit. We hunted out of pit blinds, and all 4 hunters got their limits. Im definately going to do more duck/goose hunting in the future!
Heres a few pics of the days harvest..........

Ed [spinnerman] with his limit.......

My limit..........

Nice going both of you! We hunted chickens at Kankakee today and one the way back up 53, we saw several fields with a lot, and I mean a LOT of birds. One field just south of the dragstip probably had 5,000 birds in it. My initial plan was to hunt geese in Morris today but then my brother called about going to Kankakee.... Looks like I'll have to make it out this week and see if I can duplicate your success! Anyway, nice job!

I had a great time. It was clear that Jeff loves what he does. I've hunted and fished with a few guides and captains and it really makes a difference when they love what they are doing and it isn't just a job.

I've been having an unbelievable year on geese. Those geese in my hands are numbers 13 and 14 for the year. Which is especially good, since I had only shot 6 in my life before this year. The other 12 were hunting on my own.

Default Well Done!

What, you can't hit those birds with your famous 30/30 bird gun???

But seriously... Nice job on the honkers! Just in time for Christmas too!!!

Nice Job guys, I wish I could have made it too. I would have loved to get some waterfowl hunting in this year.
