Default Green River 12/22

Well first let me say once again how stupid I feel about that episode with my dad, it was not his fault! I am a stupid S.O.B. sometimes and that prooves it.

Thanks Jamie, Jim, and Dale for allowing us to hunt over your dogs. They all worked great and I can't appreciate it enough.

We hit the field at approximately 8:30 and we did not make it in a quarter mile and Mokka went on point. We flushed about 10 Quail and Jim nailed two and I could not shoot because of the angle and I would have been shooting right over another guys head. Then from a distance we heard Jamie's dog Pete going on point. At the end of the first field we had I think a pheasant and two quail. Jim's son Scotty missed a rabbit and then we all missed a real nice rooster, must have been his day.

Went to a second field and also did not get in very far and Dale jumped a quail, needless to say there were more there and as they came up Jaimie got one and Dale and I both thought we dropped another, but never found him. Not to long after that, Dale shot a nice rabbit.

Another great day to be in the woods. Thanks again Jim and Scotty for inviting my dad and I we had a blast.

Sounds like you had great hunt and a great day wish I was there, I'm sure it was wet but what the hect if you are a true huntsmans you will do what it takes for the hunt. "Any bad day in the field is better that a good day at work" keep that in mind when you are out there.

Yeah, it was a real nice hunt. Then again, like you said, any hunt is a good hunt. It was also today not yesterday I put the wrong day down.

Had a great time myself. We did really well on the kill count considering how wet it was out there. We got up alot of birds and rabbits. Pete had is first rabbit retrieve which I never thought I would see. Again you can't say enough how great it is to be out hunting with friends and watching the dogs work. Thanks again guys had a great time. Look forward to doing it again. I'm also contemplating on buying a side by side shotgun. If anyone has any info they could share on what model might be the best to buy I would appreciate the help.

Jamie

Everyone call On Point now and reserve your field for the BIGGEST BADDEST Flurry of Feathers you may have ever seen.
