Im thinking by thurs. or fri. you should be able to catch fish on the illinois.Should be down to 16.5 by then. Only thing you have to worry about now is if it starts icing up. Them saugs gonna see alot of jigs that first day.

Barto is locked up, river still 8 feet up too. I have not seen a fishing boat launch since December 1, 2006.....seen 1 boat out since that time, no reports though.

Be awhile yet.

Klino, you are a fishing maniac.....by Friday the water should be the color of coffee with creamer, bring the bright jigs...

Oh by the way, I am jealous.... .......well not really, let me know when you find them and I will jump in.

I was in Ottawa working today so I went down to the river to check it out. There is about 10-11 inches of clarity. It should be good to go.

Just got back from checking out the ramp in peru. You are able to put a boat in the water there. Water looks great also. At least 10 inches clarity. Water still high but I know you could still catch fish.By fri. water should only be about 4 feet high. Now all we have to worry about is it freezing. Next week down to 0 for lows. Get the boats out boys!
