Anyone been out to Lake Geneva the last few days?
Heading out this Thursday and wanting to know how
the water and fishing are holding up, especially smallies.

The smallies are biting in 20 to 30' on nightcrawlers.
Main lake points seem to be the key.

they would be that deep.

When the water cools down a bit they'll be shallower, but the temps. are still in the 69deg range.

Was able to land 7 smallies in the 2 lb catagory. All were
caught in about 20-27 feet of water. Should be heading back up
within two weeks when the bigger ones will be prowling. We were
using Carolina rigs and not much of anything else.

Was anybody out last weekend? Thinking of going on sunday for walleye.

I was out for smallies and they were going good on the main lake points w/lindy rigs. As far as the eye's go I'm very inexperienced in that species for there. The water was 65 deg. I hope that helps?

John, there has been some good info of late on Geneva in the subscriber's forum...
If I was you {and I'm no expert}, I would get to the launch early and chill out in the dark on the water. When the sun comes up, try the deeper ledges in 25+ feet of water wherever the drop-off is pronounced.
