Default "guest" status?

Just found that two of my posts on WI board are showing up as "guest" instead of "River Wader".

Anyone know why this might have happened?

Didn't there used to be a message prohibiting you from posting if you weren't signed in?

Since I didn't get that, I assumed I was...

I'm a bright one...

Maybe I'll just change my screen name to "Guest"....

lot of strange things have happened since the site got hacked. Even Ed has gone into hiding :P

Some topics one must sign in & others one just hits reply & you become a guest

yea - is Ed ok? I think it's weird that none of the moderators have really explained what's been going on lately. I know they've been busy and all cleaning stuff up, but an explanation would make me feel better...

I have no idea - I've never played around with the admin stuff, otherwise this board would really be hosed

OK. As of today I "THINK" I have the guest problem corrected. When I did a permissions check in the admin panel before, I only check a couple of forums. What I've since figured out, is that the permissions were only changed in certain forums, one of them being the Wisconsin forum. Thanks River Wader, your post helped me figure out the problem. If I did everything right (only took an hour to screen each forum ) you now must be logged in to post... Strange thing is I found some other odd things that users were allowed to do, but surprised no one had.... (in certain forums, anyone could make a post "sticky" for example...)

If you continue to see odd things, pm me and I will work on correcting them... Now if I could figure out why we still can see post titles listed in the forum list that have been deleted.....
