"Catching Walleye from the Dock"................

Ok this isn't really relevant to a fishing site other than the "Catching Walleye From The Dock" lyric and maybe some of the boat riding scenery in the video. I never thought I'd hear that line in one of Kid Rock's songs. LOL... The song "All Summer Long" is one of those catchy "feel good" tunes that stays stuck in your head after you hear it. It's about remembering his youth up on the lakes in Northern Michigan where he spent a lot of time. If you're not familiar, he pays tribute to Warren Zevon and Lynyrd Skynyrd in the song by using music from "Werewolves of London" and "Sweet Home Alabama". (the actual video was shot on Old Hickory Lake in Tennessee NOT in Michigan) Some people hate it but I think it's a real cool tune/video. Watching it you can't help but remember the fun times of your youth. The video link is below if you want to check it out. CAUTION: SERIOUS EYE CANDY ALERT..... LOL..... ;)

The song was O.K. the first couple of times I heard it, but by the
999,999,999,999,999,000,000,000,000,000,000,000th time hearing it,
well,...not so much.

I love the song :)2 .
Music these days doesn't usually grab my attention, but this song did. I like the line "catchin walleye off the dock", he didn't dumb it down.

It was much better 3 months ago when it had not been played a billion times. Radio station I listen to at work on average plays it 7 times in 9 hours. Yep. I know all the words now.

It makes me picture the trip up to the U.P. a few yaers back.

I listen to satellite radio for the most part and since I don't listen to the "hits" station, I rarely ever hear it. Having grown up in Michigan, I love alot of the Michigan references, and this song is no exception. Still my favorite is from another of his songs that goes "..... in it to win it like Yzerman.... :)2 " He actually grew up in a country town called Romeo not far from where I grew up, about 25 minutes I guess. We didn't play them in football during the regular season, but always scrimmaged against them in preseason as they were about the same size as our school. I've got a buddy from Romeo that knew him, but wasn't "friends" with him, he just happened to be a couple of years ahead of "Bob". Says he barely remembers him but since the school was so small you kinda know everyone..
