There's another article with the dates. If you look hard enough you could find it fairly easily as their shutting down a big section of the canal to everything. Gotta admit it will be a sight to see, the carp are gonna cover the top of the water from rim to rim, it'll look like snow sittin on the water from a distance.

From the DNR press release....
CHICAGO – A section of the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal (CSSC) is planned to be closed to all traffic, weather permitting, beginning December 2 for a period of four to five days.

BUT....I talked with some DNR guys last week and there will be guards along the entire area of the canal being treated to keep people away.

in romeoville @ the 135 st bridge is right above the elec fence there u should be able to see the dead fish . i fish below the lock's and have not seen or herd of any carp there.. time to look for a new spot
