Here's a fun afternoon project for those of you with cabin fever. Easy to make. Based on a classic sure-fire design by naturalist Tom Butzen.
If you know someone who has a rodent problem, this would make a fine gift. Now's the time to trap and relocate those pesky critters before they start reproducing in the spring to eat everything sprouting in your landscape.
It's easy to spot the bunny's trails in the snow. Place the trap along side a fence, building, funnel area, right on their trail. Impale half an apple on the screw inside the trap for bait.
DISCLAIMER: This is for informational purposes only. I do not condone, nor imply the use of this trap in violation of any federal, state, or local ordinance.
I figure a pictures worth a thousand words, but if you have any questions let me know.
Home of the free... BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE !
I feel a future post coming about a guy (Me) that built this trap and caught a skunk May have to build a shorter version for my own safety as far as they go, or set up a trail cam where I can see what is trapped and then decide what to do about the victim within.
