For anyone that thinks lunker Walleye don't exist in the Fox you're dead wrong. On Sunday I caught and released a 26" Walleye (5 1/2 inches in width) that probably weighed close to 8 lbs. I have the pictures but don't know how to place it on this forum. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Caught on a jig.

I am a firm believer in Accountability. Where is the picture of this Giant Walleye?

I know that big walleyes do exist in the Fox. However, I am beginning to wonder if yours existed. Better produce the proof (or the product of a good photo editing program) or we may never believe another fish story from someone who posts under the name “Anonymous” Is that Greek?

I’d be happy to help you post an image if you need help. Give me an e-mail.

Take Care,
Razzo

Very hard to calculate weight without *GIRTH (* how many inches around)Width means nothing!

Lets be just say 13 inch girth (half the fishes length...very chubby walleye huh?)
26 x 13 x 13 = 4394 / 900 = 4.88 Lb or 4lb 13 oz. ....nice fish but not quite 8 lbs. is it?

Yes I do have pictures on my digital camera that I used for the very first time on that Walleye. Can someone give me instructions on how to download onto this forum? The fish was definitely heavier than your calculation. It may not have been 8lbs. but it was definitely heavier than 4.88 lbs. I will not give up the exact location but it was in Aurora. The fish was released as my pictures will indicate.

I was with a friend last week on a private lake out by galena and he caught a 26" walleye which weighed 5.8 lbs on a berkeley digital scale, this fish hadn't spawned yet and was as fat as any walleye I've ever seen, didn't measure girth but 5" wide would be about right if not thicker, making 8lbs a little unrealistic, but you never know. I'll try to post pics when I get film developed onto disk after my upcoming 3 week fishing extravaganza in Florida starting saturday!!!!!

Whats that old expression...Figures never lie but liars figure? Not saying anyone is a liar here, just saying the numbers tell the tale...Unless it was one of those "Leadbelly" walleyes that defy the laws of physics.
