Default IL fishing license question

On the south end of Lake Michigan, at what point is the IL license no good and I would need an IN license? Calumet Harbor?

Most maps show the state lines even through the water. its one of those ignorance is no excuse deals. There are specific latitudes and longitudes for each boundary. I'm not familiar enough with the area to give a landmark but any smartphone or gps should have an application to identify it.

I specifically just looked at the Illinois- Indiana state line as it pertains to Lake Michigan and the boundary seems further east than I would have pictured it. Some states have agreements pertaining to certain body's of water such as Kentucky lake. You may fish the main lake basin with either a Kentucky or Tennessee license so long as your in between a certain point.

I know of a similar circumstance on the Mississippi River in Wisconsin and Minnesota. However it's only the main river channel and back waters are state specific. I don't believe Illinois and Indiana have such an agreement but I could be wrong. So it's probably best to have some sort of a gps to identify which state your in. Maybe there's a charter captain somewhere out here in CLF land who can give a better insight on the matter?

Does anyone know if there is decent bass fishing between Burnham Park and Calumet Harbor. I haven't ventured south of Hyde Park
