Those couple minutes of slack between the change from incoming to outgoing current produced a fish almost every cast. The bait-soakers were also crushing jumbos on softshells. It was a nice considering how crumby the last 10 days have been.
Did all my damage with a 1/8oz "calumet chronic" head on a tiny fluke in "baitfish" color. My partner in crime scored well with "Liberace" on a pearl lake fork baby shad.

Please forgive the cropped photo, I was ascared that it would reveal spot # 3 to those "not in the know".

In other related news, we are still awaiting the official release of the new color scheme "Jigger Eddy". Also, we are still accepting submissions for names of the following color-scheme:
Looks a little purple on my phone, but if that is orange and blue, how about illini-whack after the fighting illini's cheif Illini wek

Never fear, Panner. I have responded(X2) to your p.m.(X3). We will make this happen yet, and you will be rewarded for your persistence X38.

On another note, I am pleased to announce that ja-knee-sea is the winner of the name submission contest. If you would be so kind as to p.m. me your mailing address, I will send my delivery drone out to drop off your jigs. I would also like to thank those that offered some very solid considerations.
I now present to you the color forever known as "Biting Illini "

As far as perch go, the season has been less than stellar. Although its winding down, a jig bite still exists. Right time/place is the key, and as they now say in Colorado & Washington: Seek out the weed growth! Heres a few from the last week:

As we wind down the bank-maggots perch season, we have shifted our focus to creating jigs for the numerous other angling opportunities available to us. In the coming weeks, I will be taking my talents and jigs around the midwest to places like "The Big Nancy ", "The little Frankie " and "the gaping gorge " among many other locales to test some of the recent additions to our color chart on other species like smallmouth, walleye, crappie, and any other fish we can convince. I am reasonably confident the response will be as positive as the perchs response has been.
Here are just a few of the recent additions to our ever-expanding color chart:

As with all of our jigs, the combination of U.V. -enhanced finishes, chemically sharpened hooks, and usable hook-size/weight pairings, we feel we have made a jig that is better than the options available at any retailer/tackle dealers.

Also, I would like to make a color chart submission for the green jig in the last pic.

"Bank Maggot Magic"

Is the contest still on? What do I win?
