Default stalking the stalks

made it out to LaSalle this morning--first time I wet a line this year went over to the flooded corn field between areas 3&4
fish all over the place. First time I experienced something like that stopped shooting when I had 10 in my tub. 2 biggest wre just over 10 lbs. Offered my harvest to a hook and line fisherman--said he was going to smoke um. Glad someone could use them.
met Bucnspur and Carpslayler out there also
PS--count me in next Sunday

Went out sunday and seen scott and bucnspur out there. It was a good day to go and wanted to try out the bowfishing cart. It works very well to haul everything around. My son and I hit the cornfeilds like tom and scott were and we did very well also. I ended up with a little over twenty fish and my son had 13 fish. We both were shooting everything that swam by but the stringer was getting heavy so went only for the big ones after a while. When we got there my buddy doug said that all the fish would be in one place and that place was in the stalks. I will be out tonight so if anyone can make it come on out.

Bill, I'll be out there with the boat this afternoon/evening. Hopefully I can find some clear water out of the wind. Area 3 might be my only shot.

Jp - Area three was loaded with fish yesterday and water was pretty clear. The river is still pretty high right now but is receeding. You should be able to get on to some good fish. If not you can always take a walk from shore and shoot some of the smaller backwaters and corn feilds. Either way you will shoot fish.

Wait - I took my sox shirt off and put my cubs shirt on. I had too because I cleaned all the carp eggs out of the fish barrel with it. The cubs shirt just looks better in pictures.

So, I went back to the same spot this(5/6)morning expecting another big day! Boy was I wrong. The hundreds of fish that were there last weekend--gone!! The water was down a bit but most of the corn was still flooded.
Some beginners(stupid?) questions---Where'd they go??
Did the high wind and lower temp send them back to the river?
Why were they in that area in the first place? Spawning?
If the field stays under water, and temps warm up, will the carp come back?
